NYC:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Open Call for Marriage Equality Performance Night!

First Comes Love, Then Comes…

While anyone can fall in love, a significant portion of our population is blocked from making itPicture 1-233“official” by sauntering down the aisle. The day after Valentine’s Day, The Tank is hosting a night of performance in support of marriage equality and we want YOU to perform. Got an interpretive dance inspired by your lesbian parents? A heart-wrenching tale of your own wedding plans dashed by Prop 8? A stand up routine explaining your best friends’ commitment ceremony to your dad? Then WE WANT YOU! All types of performance accepted!

All proceeds after the cost of covering the venue to go to Create Equality, an organization fighting for marriage equality and the overturn of Prop 8.

When: February 15th, 2009 at 7:30
